Overview
Modern research has to act on social, economic and environmental developments to provide solutions for the existing and upcoming global challenges. For this reason, LANE offers a platform for an international exchange of ideas, opinions, perspectives, results and solutions concerning photonic technologies. In order to give a detailed overview, the conference aims not only at scientific contributions, but integrates the industrial perspective and their relevance for application as well.

What is special about LANE 2024?
- High scientific standard - To ensure a certain quality of the contributions, a double-blind review process will be carried out by the members of our International Review Committee consisting of renowned experts.
- Science meets Industry - Progress needs the integration of the scientific as well as the industrial point of view. That's why scientific and industrial contributions are part of the conference program.
- Unique Atmosphere - Beyond engaging presentations and exciting scientific exchange, an essential part of LANE is creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for participants. Diverse evening events hold numerous opportunities to network and socialize altogether in a relaxed environment.
- Digital Features - Specially for LANE, a conference app will be set up, offering participants the convenience to get in touch with other attendees prior to the conference. In addition, numerous other functions are available to digitally support the conference, such as the organization of individual schedules.
- Best Presentation Award - The author who gives the best presentation is going to win a prize money of € 1,000 and will be entitled to give a talk at the plenary session of LANE 2024. All LANE participants are authorized to vote.
- Knights of Laser Technology - The Knights of Laser Technology, together with the editors and the local organisation committee form the scientific scope of LANE and take care of the relevance of the topics and contributions. LANE takes place under their patronage.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
As a first step, scientific and industrial abstracts must be submitted online as plain text directly to ConfTool by January 24, 2022 at the latest. For an overview of the conference, please check the Call for Papers.
- Abstracts should consist of about 150 words and must be written in English.
- In case of acceptance, you will receive the template for your scientific paper (should have a total length of 4 pages, but must not be longer than 6 pages) or industrial paper (should have a total length between 2 and 4 pages) by February 04, 2024.
Scientific contributions:
Your scientific paper will be reviewed by the international review committee of renowned experts. In case of a positive review result the paper will be published online as a special issue of Elsevier's open access journal 'Procedia CIRP' and presented live at LANE 2024. Papers published in Procedia CIRP will be available online on ScienceDirect. Procedia CIRP is indexed in the EI Compendex and Scopus databases.
Industrial contributions:
Your industrial paper will be reviewed by the international review committee on its relevance for application. In case of a positive review result the paper will be published online and freely accessible without limitations on the LANE website and presented live at LANE 2024.

Presenting author
- Complete conference: € 710 incl. 7 % VAT
The conference fee for presenting authors includes:
- Publication of scientific paper in Elsevier's e-journal 'Procedia CIRP' / of industrial paper on LANE website
- Unlimited access to all presentations
- Participation in the social events
After the final acceptance of your paper you can register via ConfTool as presenting author. Your registration must be done by June 05, 2024 at the latest. As of now, you can already create a free user account at ConfTool to submit your abstract.
Regular participant
- Complete conference: € 940 incl. 7 % VAT
- 3-day participation: € 810 incl. 7 % VAT
- 2-day participation: € 690 incl. 7 % VAT
- 1-day participation: € 570 incl. 7 % VAT
The conference fee for regular participants includes:
- Unlimited access to all presentations at the booked conference days
- Participation in the social events at the booked conference days

Members of AILU / bayern photonics / CIRP / EPIC / JLPS / PhotonicSweden / Swissphotonics / WGP / WLT are granted a general discount of 10 % on these fees. Payments should be made on receipt of invoice. For payment with credit cards from outside the European Union, a service fee of 7 % will be charged. Possible costs for the bank transfer are for the account of the registrant.
